When I’m installing mapD into our centos7 server, after this command:
make -j 4
it stopped at 21% with following error:
[ 21%] Built target UtilTest
make: *** [all] Error 2
What’s the problem?

Hi, this is the error popped:

[ 28%] Generating cuda_mapd_rt.o
/bin/sh: nvcc: command not found
make[2]: *** [QueryEngine/cuda_mapd_rt.o] Error 127
make[1]: *** [QueryEngine/CMakeFiles/QueryEngine.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

seems I’m missing some cuda driver?

Hi

As detailed here (https://github.com/mapd/mapd-core#cuda) you need to have CUDA toolkit installed not just the drivers

Please following instructions here https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads

I’ve figured it out. I installed the CUDA toolkit but didn’t set the environmental variables. After adding this to .bashrc:
export PATH=/usr/local/cuda-8.0/bin${PATH:+:{PATH}}
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/cuda-8.0/lib64${LD_LIBRARY_PATH:+:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}}

problem fixed. Thx!
