Installing CUDA Drivers on CentOS

#1

On the website https://www.mapd.com/docs/latest/getting-started/centos7-yum-gpu-ce-recipe/ it says to install http://developer.download.nvidia.com/compute/cuda/repos/rhel7/x86_64/cuda-repo-rhel7-<VERSION INFO, for example 8.0.61-1.x86_64>.rpm

My version of CentOS is CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core), but the repo only has cuda-repo-rhel7-7.0-28.x86_64.rpm and cuda-repo-rhel7-7.5-18.x86_64.rpm.

Which one, if any, should I use?

Hi Roger. Thanks for asking for clarification. Since we’re all just back from the long weekend, I’ve nudged a few people to see if they can help.

@roger can you provide a bit more information about the exact steps you’re following that arrive at two possible versions for install? When I follow the CUDA link and specify your OS / architecture / etc. I’m offered cuda-repo-rhel7-9-1-local-9.1.85-1.x86_64.rpm.
